Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Karla grew up across the South, fostering a love for adventure and a deep appreciation for diverse experiences. Her early career saw her exploring the world, from working on cruise ships to living in dynamic cities like Miami, Houston, and Denver during her time in the airline industry.
At the age of 50, Karla pursued her lifelong dream of further education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Recreation Therapy and mental health from Texas State University. Today, she runs a successful therapy practice from her home, where she also finds joy in caring for her three rescue dogs.
Karla’s personal journey has been shaped by resilience and reinvention. Having experienced the complexities of three marriages and divorces, she draws on her life lessons to inspire others.
