Karla Burrows was born in Birmingham, Alabama, the middle of three sisters, and grew up in cities across the South, from Huntsville to Jackson and New Orleans. Always driven by a desire to see the world, she left her oil and gas drafting job to work on a cruise ship, launching a life of travel and adventure. She later joined the airlines, living a fast-paced and exciting life in cities like Miami, Houston, and Denver.
At the age of 50, after her two children left home, Karla returned to school, spending five years at Texas State University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Recreation Therapy and mental health. She now runs a thriving therapy business from her home, where she also cares for her three beloved rescue dogs.
Karla’s journey hasn’t been without challenges, including three marriages and three divorces. In her debut book, she shares the legal lessons learned from her experiences and how they shaped her resilience and personal growth. Her story is one of perseverance, reinvention, and moving forward with purpose.
